CONCERT-Japan Pilot Call Launched

The ERA-Net Project CONCERT-Japan has launched a pilot joint call for research and innovation proposals. The call covers the topics «Resilience against Disasters» and «Efficient Energy Storage and Distribution».

The CONCERT-Japan Pilot Joint Call on Research and Innovation is now open for the submission of proposals from 3 September to 15 November 2012.

In the frame of the CONCERT-Japan Pilot Joint Call, research projects with an innovative dimension will be funded for a period of 2 years in the above mentioned themes. The research projects are expected to have mobility and networking dimensions apart from the core research component. Each project consortium applying for this call should consist of at least 3 partners, 1 from Japan and 2 from two different Euro-pean countries participating in the call.

The Call will be funded by the budget allocated by each partici-pating national/regional funding organization. Therefore, each participating funding organization reserves the right to apply its national/regional funding regulations.

Background on CONCERT-Japan:

The CONCERT-Japan project is an international ERA-NET initiative under the EU FP7, with the objective of coordinating and enhancing the science, technology and innovation (STI) cooperation between the European countries and Japan. In Switzerland, the ETH Zurich is participating on behalf of the State Secretariat for Education ond Research.
