JPI Antimicrobial Resistance: Transnational Call on „Disrupting Drug Resistance Using Innovative Design“

The call focuses on tackling the rising threat of antimicrobial resistance (JPIAMR). It aims to improve the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections (including co-infection) and/or the prevention of the emergence/spread of resistance in humans, animals or plants through the improvement of the efficacy, specificity, delivery, combinations and/or repurposing of drugs and plant protection agents.

The project teams should comprise 3 to 6 partners from participating countries. The SNSF has set aside CHF 600 000.00 for the Swiss partners in these teams. Applicants from Switzerland must be eligible for the SNSF’s project funding scheme.

Proposals will be evaluated in a two-step procedure. The deadline for submitting pre-proposals is 8 March 2022.

An online information session for interested applicants, also presenting the dedicated Partner Search tool, will be held on 25 January 2022, 16:00.

Register for the Launch Event Introducing the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI)!

Registration is now open for the launch event of IHI, taking place in a virtual setting on 26 January 2022, 10:30 to 13:00.

What is the Innovative Health Initiative? Who are the partners? And how can I get involved? All your questions will be answered in this online event. A preview of the draft topics under consideration for inclusion in the first IHI call for proposals will also be presented.

Save the Date: Information and Brokerage E-Event for Horizon Europe Calls

On 2 February 2022, Horizon Cloud is organising a virtual information and brokerage event for Horizon Europe calls “Cognitive Cloud: AI-enabled computing continuum from Cloud to Edge (RIA)”, “Open source for cloud-based services (RIA)“, and “Programming tools for decentralised intelligence and swarms (RIA)”.

Participants are welcome to make pitches at the event, which must be registered from 11 to 21 January 2022.

Horizon Europe Networking Event – Clusters 1, 4, 5, 6

On the 17th/18th February 2022, the conference „Successful R&I in Europe 2022“ will take place. The event is dedicated to researchers and entrepreneurs seeking new European research and innovation (R&I) partners for Horizon Europe projects.

There will be parallel sessions on seven topics:

Pre-Announcement: 8th South Korea –Switzerland call for Joint Innovation Projects

The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) and the Swiss Innovation Agency (Innosuisse) are happy to to pre-announce their joint call 2022 to fund science-based innovation projects between Switzerland and South Korea. 

This pre-announcement is to invoke interest of potential applicants to explore project ideas as well as collaboration opportunities with potential partners. That is why we invite you to register on this website, a virtual market place to discuss project opportunities and facilitate introductions between organisations from South Korea and Switzerland participating in this call. It is an open 1:1 networking platform. Meetings among participants can be scheduled as a video call at any time until mid of April 2022.

INUAS-Konferenz 7.-9.9.2022 zu „Urbane Transformationen: Öffentliche Räume“ – Call for Papers, Projects and Interventions

Die ZHAW Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften veranstaltet die INUAS-Konferenz 2022 «Urbane Transformationen: Öffentliche Räume». Der Hochschulverbund INUAS (International Network of Universities of Applied Sciences) veranstaltet seit 2019 eine internationale Konferenzreihe zu dem Thema «Urbane Transformationen: Wohnen | Ressourcen | Öffentliche Räume». Der Zusammenschluss der Hochschule München (HM), des FH Campus Wien und der Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (ZHAW) schafft damit ein Podium für die Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen Fragen und Entwicklungsperspektiven für Städte und Regionen. Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society (Cluster 2) Information Day and Brokerage Event

A Cluster 2 information day is planned for 7th December and a brokerage event for 8th December.  The information day will give both information on the Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society work programme as well as general tips and advice for applicants. The brokerage event will provide opportunities to meet and liaise with researchers internationally. Save the date!

Mit Regina Betz, Leiterin des Center for Energy and the Environment (CEE), und Thomas Rötger vom Zentrum für Aviatik war die ZHAW auch bei der diesjährigen, wichtigen UN-Klimakonferenz in Glasgow (COP26) mit einer Delegation vertreten. An einem Side Event der Konferenz präsentierte Regina Betz Ergebnisse aus zwei aktuellen Forschungsprojekten des CEE. Applying Design Thinking to Advancing SDGs in South Asia

Join us for a three-week online academy aiming to contribute to a better understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and for the better translation of this knowledge into action. Using key concepts from design thinking in combination with peer to peer learning (across contexts and disciplines) we will enable converting cutting edge-knowledge pertaining to SDGs into action. The program will involve essential voices from South Asia, of academicians, decision makers, civil society, and importantly, from the grassroot level as well as excellent communicators coming in as skill trainers.
