Research Program Energy-Economy-Society Call 2020 for Research Proposals

The Energy – Economy – Society (EES) research programme promotes application-oriented research in the field of energy policy. To this end the EES focuses on economic, social, psychological and political issues throughout the energy sector supply chain. EES elaborates calls to fund innovative socio-economic research projects that address relevant energy-policy questions for Switzerland. In line with the Federal Energy Research Masterplan for the period from 2017 to 2020 and with the „Energy research concept of the Swiss Federal Office of Energy„, EES defines research priorities through its calls. For this call, the Directive on the submission and evaluation of applications for financial support of energy research, pilot and demonstration projects applies.


Call for Proposals 2020 – SFOE Research Program Grids

The research in the field of electricity production, conversion, storage and application is covered by a number of specific research programmes. The challenge regarding the electricity grid is finding a way to combine individual technologies into an efficient overall system, which is interoperable, safe and reliable. Technological issues in electricity grids and systems are the focus of the SFOE grids research programme; interfaces to other energy carriers are also considered.

The Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS) offers project grants for pluri- disciplinary teams in international studies.


„Call for Proposals 2021“ – Congressi Stefano Franscini (ETH Zürich), Monte Verità, Ascona

The Congressi Stefano Franscini is ETH Zurich’s conference platform located at Monte Verità, a beautiful hilltop overlooking Ascona and Lago Maggiore in Southern Switzerland (Ticino). Since 1989, the CSF gives professors and researchers working in Switzerland the opportunity to organize a subsidized international scientific event at Monte Verità, international collaborations are welcome. The application season for CSF Conferences 2021 is open, the deadline for submission is January 15, 2020. Submissions for 2020 Workshops are still possible.


Call for Bridging Grants with South Asia and Iran 2019

The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) has commissioned ZHAW as Leading House for the bilateral research collaboration with partner institutions in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This bridging grant offers the possibility to continue joint research in order to prepare a grant application for a full joint research project e.g. through the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), EU funding or any other national or regional funding body.

Kickoff-Event zur Ausschreibung für Innovationsprojekte im Bereich Digitalisierung der Innosuisse

Die Innosuisse hat eine Ausschreibung für Innovationsprojekte im Bereich Digitalisierung lanciert und 10 Millionen CHF für die Entwicklung und Anwendung digitaler Technologien reserviert. Die Ausschreibung schliesst am 16. Dezember 2019, mit Förderentscheid bis Ende Februar 2020.

Speziell ist, dass die üblichen Regeln zu den Eigenleistungen der Umsetzungspartner weniger streng ausgelegt werden und kleinere Prozentsätze genehmigt werden können. Ausserdem sind, bisher einzigartig, auch 12-monatige Folgeprojekte zu erfolgreichen bestehenden Projekten möglich, um die Umsetzung einer digitalen Innovation am Markt zu erreichen. Weiterlesen

Joint Call 2019 on Energy Storage Solutions (MICall19)

The European Joint Programming Platform ERA-Net Smart Energy Systems in collaboration with the global Mission Innovation Initiative is pleased to announce a Joint Call for transnational Research, Development and Innovation projects on integrated energy storage solutions. The total available budget is above € 22 Mio. The deadline for full proposals is on 22 January 2020.
