The European Union is faced with big disparities in research excellence and innovation performance between the different Member States and Associated countries. Therefore, the specific objective “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation (SEWP)” was introduced in Horizon 2020.
In a nutshell, it is about measures to increase cooperation and knowledge transfer between the Widening Countries* and other Member States (MS) and Associated Countries (AC, eg Switzerland).
This webinar will provide an overview on SEWP funding opportunities and will in particular highlight the upcoming call WIDESPREAD-05-2017 which has the objective to strengthen a field of research (no thematic restrictions) between a widening country and any two internationally-leading research institutions in other MS or ACs.
