18 February 2016, 12:15 in Bern
Do you want to know more about EU and USA funding possibilities for your research in the field of health? This event covers opportunities for researchers in Switzerland in Horizon 2020, the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and the US National Institutes of Health (NIH).
This event will cover the Horizon 2020 “Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing” Work Programme for 2016-2017, outlining how to read the topic descriptions, important factors to consider when setting up a consortium, what the evaluators are looking for, and basic administrative and financial rules. A coordinator of a large clinical health project at the Inselspital will share his experiences.
The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) will also be presented along with the current open calls. A successful applicant will talk about his experiences at the proposal and grant stage.
Finally, the event will provide an overview of funding opportunities with the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). The project manager of a large NIH grant at the University of Bern will talk about her experiences.
There will be no break during the presentations but sandwiches and drinks will be available in the auditorium.
After the event, participants preparing a Horizon 2020 proposal are offered 20 min. bilateral meetings on content, admin or budget questions with the National Contact Point Health from the Euresearch Head Office and Grants Advisors from the University of Bern. These meetings are on a first-come, first-served basis and can be booked by sending an email to Leah Witton.
