Das vom Bundesrat am 28. April 2021 lancierte Nationale Forschungsprogramm will die Einflüsse der Covid-19-Pandemie auf Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft und Politik untersuchen. Open Access, der ungehinderte Zugang zu wissenschaftlichen Publikationen, ist ein wichtiges Anliegen des Schweizerischen Nationalfonds (SNF). Seit 2018 übernimmt der SNF die Kosten, die beim Publizieren in reinen Open-Access-Zeitschriften anfallen.
