The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) are creating a programme for research on global issues in and with developing and emerging countries. The new “Swiss Programme for Research on Global Issues for Development” (short: r4d.ch) will begin with a call for the thematic module “Causes of and Solutions to Social Conflicts in Contexts of Weak Public Institutions or State Fragility” and an initial call for the module without pre-defined topics.

• pro thematischer Call 14.1 Mio Fr, pro Projekt 400’000 – 600’000 Fr per year, Dauer 3 + 3 Jahre

• 10-15% des Geldes für application, implementation and communication
• mind. 40% des Geldes in DC ausgeben
• mind. 50% research personnel in DC anstellen
• Partnership-Pflicht: mind. 1 Schweizer Partner + mind. 2 Partner DC aus 2 verschiedenen Ländern (thematischer call) oder mind. 1 Partner DC (offener call)
