Workshop About European Science Projects in Laboratory Fields

Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology IFIB 2017

On occasion of the 7th edition of the Italian Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy IFIB taking place in Rome, Italy from 5-6 October 2017, the Enterprise Europe Network is organising the Biotech and Bioeconomy Partnering Event IFIB 2017. The matchmaking event offers the chance to meet potential partners in pre-arranged face-to-face meetings and to establish new cooperations in research, technology transfer and business.

Horizon 2020 Workshop for Coordinators in Societal Challenge 6

On 26 October 2017 a one-day consortium building workshop around selected topics of the upcoming Work Programme Societal Challenge 6 (Inclusive Societies) will be held in Brussels.

The objective of this hands-on event is to prepare ground for consortia building: to give opportunity to future proposers to discuss concrete cooperation possibilities, to present their expertise and learn from each other. Experienced R&I officers will help participants to steer the group discussions.

The event is organized by RTD liaison offices from EU member states and Horizon 2020 associated countries. Registration is compulsory.

Please note that this event is directed specifically towards potential coordinators of Societal Challenge 6 projects and that the number of participants is limited.

Innovative Medicines Initiative Stakeholder Forum 2017, 18-19 October in Brussels

Every year, the IMI Stakeholder Forum gathers Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) stakeholders in health and medicines R&D and provides them with an opportunity to learn about and discuss IMI’s latest activities and plans.

More information on the event will be published shortly. IMI’s Stakeholder Forum is an excellent opportunity for all who are interested in IMI, would like to provide input on IMI’s activities and plans as well as to network with fellow stakeholders.

New Partner Search Service 14/07/2017

The Participant Portal (PP) provides a new service for finding collaboration partners for your future projects when applying for EU grants. It allows searching profiles of organisations that have previously received EU funding via the PP. The functionalities of the currently available beta version will be extended in the coming months.

In its first version, the service allows searching for organisations and displaying their profiles.

The profiles comprise:
• Organisation name, city, country, Participant Identification Code (PIC)
• Organisation type (Higher or secondary education establishment, SME, etc.)
• The list of EU projects in which the organisation is involved
• An overview of its main collaboration links with other organisations
• Keywords related to its projects, indicating its fields of expertise

Join us at the 3rd International SystemsX.ch Conference

The third and final International SystemsX.ch Conference will bring together world-class scientists from a variety of disciplines who apply quantitative and systems-wide approaches to research in the life sciences from September 4-7, 2017 in Zurich. Der SNF beteiligt sich an der ersten Ausschreibung im Rahmen des Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme.

Das Joint Funding Scheme ermöglicht die Zusammenarbeit von Forschenden und Innovatoren aus Südostasien und Europa, die an gemeinsamen Forschungsthemen interessiert sind. So können Ressourcen multilateral gebündelt werden, um kollaborative Forschung und Innovationsprojekte zu fördern.

Der Schwerpunkt der Ausschreibung liegt auf den folgenden Bereichen:

Open Research Data: Das sind die SNF-Guidelines für die Datenmanagementpläne

Was gehört in den Datenmanagementplan für das SNF-Projektgesuch? Ein ausführlicher Leitfaden für Forscherinnen und Forschern steht ab sofort zur Verfügung.

Daten und Resultate der Forschung, die mit öffentlichen Geldern unterstützt werden, sollen für alle offen zugänglich sein. Der Schweizerische Nationalfonds (SNF) unterstützt den Grundsatz der Open Research Data: Als ersten Schritt führt er ab Oktober 2017 Datenmanagementpläne (DMP) als integralen Bestandteil der Forschungsgesuche ein.
