Vorankündigung 4. Call:

The AAL Association (http://www.aal-europe.eu/) has pre-announced the 4th call for proposals of the AAL Joint Programme. The call aims at ICT based solutions which help older persons to sustain their optimal level of mobility for as long as possible, enhancing their individual sense of confidence, autonomy, competence, security and safety. The call addresses issues that inherently enable older persons’ mobility in the sense of moving in the home and/or outside the home.

Call title: “ICT Based Solutions for Advancement of Older Persons’ Mobility”

Focus areas:

1. Orientation and navigation (may include aspects of physical and cognitive training)

2. Assistive technology

The call is expected to be launched on 31 March 2011 and will then be open for three months. The online application procedure is organized centrally by the AAL Association. Swiss organisations interested in participating are recommended to contact our national AAL Office (see contact details below).

A European “Info Day” is planned to take place in Brussels on 7 April 2011. If you wish to register for this event, please contact Jacqueline.Teller@aal-europe.eu by 24th March 2011. National information events and networking days will also be organized; details on events for Swiss participants will be published on our website.

Neue Regeln für Schweizer Parnter

Due to Switzerland’s new status as a full member of the AAL Joint Programme, new funding rules will apply under call 4.

50% of the project costs of universities, universities of applied sciences, SMEs and end-user organisations will be funded by the Federal Government and the EU:

Furthermore, the 50% / 50% balance between industry partner and research institution has been abolished, i.e. Swiss project partners may enter an international project consortium on their own, without the need to find a suitable Swiss co-partner first.

For further information please check the updated factsheet on our website.
