The Swiss Research Data Day, the 3rd edition of this DLCM event, will take place in Switzerland, at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG/HES-SO), October 22, 2020. This call is to kindly invite you to contribute to our coming event entitled “Swiss Research Data Day 2020: Emergent approaches for Open Science”. The current situation regarding the coronavirus crisis has led us to extend the submission deadline to 31 May 2020.
With this we would like to acknowledge the changed way of working in this uncertain period and to give you more time to prepare your papers. We are confident that our event will take place live on site in Geneva on 22 October 2020. Nevertheless, we will be monitoring the situation and also exploring alternatives as necessary. Regardless of the type of event (live or online event), your work will certainly be noticed, especially since we will also issue an e-publication after the event, which will summarize all the contributions presented on that day.
The Swiss Research Data Day is organized by the Data Life-Cycle Management (DLCM) Project, led by the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and HEG/HES-SO in collaboration with the Zürich Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschafts (ZHAW), and mandated by swissuniversities.
Call for Papers
This call is to kindly invite you to contribute to our coming event entitled Swiss Research Data Day 2020: Emergent approaches for Open Science. It will offer a discussion space to exchange on major challenging technologies and approaches that characterize the Research Data Management (RDM) practices from the institutional point of view as well as researcher perspective
Research data need more than just basic management processes: RDM asks for a multidisciplinary governance approach to ensure the quality of research data, their visibility, operability, interoperability and reuse. These skills involve methodological, ethical, legal, technical and technological know-how for mastering RDM in a digital environment. Researchers face a growing number of issues and challenges.
