The week of 16 – 20 October 2018 is going to be exciting for climate action in Austria, starting with a 2-day RIS bootcamp of our European start-up accelerator programme. The first day of this bootcamp will see a demo day where start-ups from the EIT Climate-KIC RIS countries pitch in front of a diverse audience at the ImpactHub Vienna. On the second day they will learn from experts about sustainable business modelling and how to expand their businesses. This event will be followed by an extensive “Advanced Cities” workshop on 19 October, where we will explore the future of urban practice.

City representatives and urban practitioners will come together to shed light and reflect on emerging, cutting-edge trends in the urban space and collectively stretch their thinking in terms of possible solutions.

Finally, the EIT Climate-KIC Climate Week in Austria finishes with the first 24h Climathon in Austria on 19/20 October, taking place simultaneously in Vienna and Graz. With the support of over a dozen partners, this public hackathon for climate innovation will show the climate action power of the Austrian community.
