The Global Innovation Linkages Programme was announced as part of the National Innovation and Science Agenda. The Programme provides funding to assist Australian businesses and researchers to collaborate with global partners from priority economies (e.g. Switzerland) on strategically focused, leading-edge research and development projects. Funding of up to $1 million per project will be provided over a maximum of four years.
Collaborative projects and participants must include, at a minimum:
- one Australian industry entity,
- one Australian research organisation, and
- one global partner from a priority economy (European Union [with a focus on United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy], United States, India, China, Japan, South Korea, Israel, Taiwan, Vietnam, Brazil, Singapore, New Zealand and Switzerland).
Project partners of a successful application must at least match grant funds received under the programme with cash and/or in-kind contributions for eligible project activities conducted by Australian partners.
Each organisation can only submit two applications as the lead participant so we will have to follow an internal Expression of Interest process to select two JCU applications. If you are thinking of applying can you please contact me first to discuss.
