EUREKA (www.eurekanetwork.org) is an intergovernmental organisation for marketdriven industrial research and development. It is a decentralised network facilitating the coordination of national funding on Research, Development and Innovation, aiming to boost the productivity & competitiveness of industries. EUREKA has been a driving force of innovation in Europe for over 30 years.

Bern, 01.07.2015 – EUREKA, die europäische Initiative für grenzüberschreitende Projekte in marktorientierter Forschung und Entwicklung, ist 2014/2015 ein Jahr lang von der Schweiz präsidiert worden. Heute wird der Vorsitz an der letzten Netzwerk-Konferenz in Lugano offiziell an Schweden übergeben. Im Rahmen dieser Konferenz feiert EUREKA zudem ihr 30-jähriges Bestehen. An der Jubiläumsfeier nehmen unter anderem die für Forschung und Innovation zuständigen Staatssekretäre aus Deutschland, Frankreich, Schweden, der Schweiz und Spanien teil. Fortsetzung
EUREKA relaunched its two public websites, www.eurekanetwork.org for its overall activities and www.eurostars-eureka.eu for the Eurostars Programme. These online platforms are now faster and easier to navigate, and offer a fresh look for EUREKA’s main outreach tool. The new websites were developed in response to ongoing needs of the research and development industry. They are centered on the needs of potential applicants for support and funding through EUREKA Network, Cluster and Umbrella projects and the Eurostars Programme.
Korea and Switzerland are announcing a bilateral call for joint R&D project outlines, focusing on developing innovative products and applications in market oriented technological and application areas.
Applicants are expected to develop ready to market solutions or projects, which have a significant market potential for Korea and Switzerland. Weiterlesen
The final evaluation of the Eurostars Joint Programme for the period 2008-2013 is now available on the European Commission’s website. The evaluation was performed by an independent expert group, chaired by Ms. Makarow, vice-president of the Academy of Finland. The objective of the report was to evaluate the results of the programme during its seven-year course under FP7, and notably Eurostars’ impact on its main target group: R&D-performing SMEs. Belgium and Switzerland are jointly announcing a bilateral call for outlines for joint innovation projects under the EUREKA individual projects and Eurostars instruments.
The call is open to all topics, but focuses on medical technologies, manufacturing and aeronautics. Projects proposed must have an obvious advantage resulting from the cooperation between the participants from the two and should demonstrate a balanced contribution from both Swiss and Belgian organisations. The 2013 edition of the SwissCore Research & Innovation Seminar will take place on January 23-25. The main topics will be an update on the adoption process of Horizon 2020, the next European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. It will further address more practical and programmatic issues such as the future of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, COST, the Joint Technology Initiatives and EUREKA. As a part of the Swiss-Swedish Innovation Initiative, a joint bilateral initiative with the overall objective to increase market oriented high-technology R&D projects between Switzerland and Sweden, the first bilateral «Switzerland-Sweden Call for R&D Project Outlines» has been launched within the EUREKA and EUROSTARS programs.
