Are you keen to implement an innovation project or launch your company and looking for support? Innosuisse can help you. To showcase its latest offers, the Swiss Innovation Agency will be at the ETH Zurich Hönggerberg campus on 4 September 2019 for a roadshow.

One of the discussion topics will be support for innovation projects carried out jointly by research partners and SMEs. The programme will also include an overview of the funding opportunities for start-ups, with a special focus on coaching vouchers. The event will finish with a standing lunch, giving interested parties the chance to put their questions to Innosuisse managers in a convivial setting.

​Die neuen COST-Aktionen sowie alle laufenden Aktionen sind offen für Forschende und Experten, die an einer Teilnahme interessiert sind. Alle COST-Aktionen sind über den untenstehenden Link einsehbar. Einer laufenden COST-Aktion beizutreten, ist ganz einfach: Es genügt, dem SNF ein Statement of Interest und ein CV zukommen zu lassen. Die detaillierten Teilnahmebedingungen und die Vorlage eines Statements of Interest sind auf der COST-Webseite des SNF zu finden.

AI Ethics Assessment: Join the Pilot Phase

After the publication of the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI) on 8 April 2019, the piloting process seeks to test the assessment list and provide practical feedback on how it can be improved. Join the effort!

The High-Level Expert Group on AI (AI HLEG) published on 8 April the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy AI that provide an assessment list that operationalises the key requirements and offers guidance to implement them in practice.

This assessment list now undergoes a piloting process: from 26 June 2019 until 1 December 2019 you have the possibility to join the pilot phase and provide feedbacks on the implementation of the assessment list.

ECSEL – European Funding Initiative for Smart Electronics – Promotion Event 2019

Empa, CSEM and Innosuisse are jointly organising a promotion event at Empa in Dübendorf for the European funding initiative ECSEL. The event is taking place on 3 September 2019.

The Joint Technology Initiative for Electronic Components and Systems for the European Leadership (ECSEL) supports transboundary R&D projects in digitalisation, developing marketable products in the fields of micro- and nanoelectronics, system integration and intelligent systems.

Universities and industrial partners including SMEs with a potential interest in the participation in the ECSEL funding programme and its annual calls are invited to join the event to receive firsthand information and to be well prepared for the next smart systems call of ECSEL in 2020.

Have Your Say on Future Objectives for EU-Funded Research and Innovation

The European Commission is preparing the implementation of Horizon Europe, the next and most ambitious EU research and innovation programme. Help shaping European research and innovation investments in the coming years and have your say on what are the most important challenges the European funding in R&I should tackle.

The consultation will collect input from across Europe and beyond. The inputs received will inform the work to prepare a ‘Strategic Plan’ for Horizon Europe, which will then guide the work programmes and calls for proposals for Horizon Europe’s first four years (2021-2024).

The Commission invites anyone with an interest in future EU research and innovation priorities, to participate in the consultation, which will close on 8 September 2019.

Preis für Verkehrssicherheit der Stadt Zürich

Studierende Schweizer Hochschulen sind eingeladen, eine Diplomarbeit im Fachbereich der urbanen Verkehrssicherheit einzureichen.

Der Inhalt der Diplomarbeit soll möglichst im Einflussbereich der Stadtverwaltung Zürich liegen; demnach liegt der Schwerpunkt bei der urbanen Verkehrssicherheit (z.B. Infrastruktur, Prävention, Sensibilisierung, Kommunikation). Das übergeordnete Ziel der Arbeit soll eine Reduktion der Anzahl der Verunfallten im urbanen Strassenverkehr sein.
