A report on the 8th Swiss SDN workshop at last!

Following the rhythm, we held the 8th Swiss SDN workshop/meetup in mid-June this year. It was a great a pleasure and experience to get the networkers together for a full-day event hosted at ETH Zurich. We learnt about new solutions and implementations from the talks/demos given by our colleagues from the academia and the private sector.

The topics on the table included: multi-DC service chaining, VNFs with Snabb, NFV in modern DC – approaches and lessons learnt, SDN-based attack prevention, Blockchains and SDN-based DDoS system, SDN in 5G network, SD-WAN, intrusion prevention, efficient routing, etc. Together with my colleague Kurt Baumann from SWITCH we prepared a thorough report of the event, to continue the tradition and for the curious who didn’t manage to attend. You can check out the presentations form the meetup and read the report at the following link.

See you soon, and don’t forget to sign up for a talk or demo of your exciting and innovative SDN solutions at our SDN Switzerland meetup page.
