Ewald Mund

Ewald Maria Mund is senior lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

After a computer science degree  (Dip.Inform) from the University of Karlsruhe in 1977, he joined Hewlett-Packard Germany as software engineer and was soon promoted to a senior software engineer position (1971-1981).

From 1982-1984 he was with Cap Gemini Switzerland as Ingenieur en Chef until he decided to start-up his own consultancy and software development venture.

Since 2001 he is with ZHAW teaching a broad range of topics in the area of software development and databases, in which he pays special attention to practical relevance and solid technical depth.

After three decades of software and systems design, development, and operations Ewald processes an comprehensive background, like only true industry veterans do.

His most profound areas are software development (JDBC/JPA, HIBERNATE, EJB3.0 and Java EE, JSF2, GROOVY), Relational and NoSQL databases,

His research contributions to the ICCLab are in the area of BigData, NoSQL, Hadoop applications, and scalable software development.
