The 9th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Utility and Cloud Computing (UCC 2016) is going to run from December 6 to 9 in Shanghai. A number of calls are open to attract submissions of academic papers, hands-on demonstrations, project workshops and doctoral research plans. This brief blog post gives a convenient summary of the calls.
The Service Engineering research area with its two laboratories (ICCLab, SPLab) is actively involved in assembling high-quality conference tracks for UCC 2016 as the conference covers several of the research initiatives driven by the lab researchers. We would like to inform in particular about the following opportunities:
- Submit a paper about original findings. Full papers of up to 10 pages in IEEE format must be submitted until July 3. Based on previous years estimations, an acceptance rate of about 20-25% can be expected.
- Submit a tutorial about the latest technology in the cloud computing space. The same deadline of July 3 applies.
- Check the other calls with later deadlines for the Doctoral Symposium, the Posters track, the Cloud Challenge and all accepted workshops which are gradually being announced in the next days.
Photo impressions from last year’s UCC can be found in the UCC 2015 media gallery. Further cloud conferences are conveniently maintained by this conference tracker.
