XP 2020, the 21st International Conference on Agile Software Development, is hosting the Second European Symposium on Serverless Computing and Applications (ESSCA). In contrast to the first edition, it is a bit smaller this time, and exclusively online as opposed to the planned venue Copenhagen.
Our research team is present with two talks:
- Josef Spillner and Daiana Boruta will demonstrate how to trace the memory consumption of cloud functions, and reason about how to use the trace profile for memory autotuning.
Two additional talks are scheduled on optimising the startup time of functions (TU Berlin) and on performance predictions and resource sensitivity (Intel).
Register to participate. And in case you miss it – talk to us about your serverless computing innovation needs!
Back in 2018, several software developers and researchers met in Zurich at ESSCA to discuss the state of serverless applications, including upcoming technical and business/application opportunities.
Fast-forward 1½ years, it is time to have another look and present the latest frameworks, FaaSification and deployment tools, FaaS services, measurements and so forth. Hence, we invite everybody to consider submitting a talk proposal to ESSCA 2020 which takes place under the wings of the 21st International Conference on Agile Software Development on June 12 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
To keep the spirit of ESSCA as a community gathering, the possible contributions are open to include industry and business experience reports, short tool descriptions and position texts, and abstracts of lightning talks, apart from full research papers.
The Service Prototyping Lab at Zurich University of Applied Sciences is involved as co-organiser of the event, anticipating fruitful discussions about innovative application designs and technological underpinnings in cloud and post-cloud environments.
At Zurich University of Applied Sciences, in particular at the Service Prototyping Lab, we are very proud to announce a packed global technology event week which brings many international experts in cloud computing, big data computing and serverless computing into little Switzerland. Join us for more than 140 unique technical and scientific talks over five days!
11th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Utility and Cloud Computing – UCC 2018
5th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Big Data Computing, Applications and Technologies – BDCAT 2018
From the 17th to the 20th of December, we expect around 200 attendees at the Technopark to discuss trends and progress on many cloud and big data topics. Apart from the two main conference tracks, there will be a cloud challenge, a doctoral forum, a posters presentation, 4 tutorials, and 8 workshops on diverse emerging topics (e.g. cloud-native, sustainable big data for environments, software testing, security and trust). Broad industry support is lined up to support the event with attendees and corporate support. Daypasses start at 350 CHF.
