INE participates in the METRIC Project and as a part of this project it has examined the economic clusters of the EU in terms of transportation industry. Data from the European Cluster Observatory were used. The clusters were evaluated by size, number of employees and economic influence and the highest rating is three stars.
The map below shows that automotive cluster rating is specially high in Germany, Sweden and Romania. Three stars clusters are mostly located in the structurally strong and longtime economically successful spaces.
