Increasing traffic volumes

The traffic performance has had a continuously rising trend in the past decades in Switzerland. The traffic volumes are increasing and people are travelling further and longer. Spatial indicators

The mobility team at the Institute of Sustainable Development (ZHAW) has developed nationwide, spatial indicators for sustainable mobility in Switzerland. There are indicators for social, economic and ecological sustainability and these indicators are visualized with GINES (=Geographisches INformations- und EntscheidungsSystem).
