INE, together with other institutes of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and with other academic Swiss partners, participates in the SCCER Mobility project. The project started in January 2014 and will finish in December 2016.
“The SCCER Mobility aims at developing the knowledge and technologies essential for the transition of the current fossil fuel based transportation system to a sustainable one, featuring minimal CO2-output and Primary Energy Demand as well as virtually zero-pollutant emissions” (SCCER Mobility). The project started in January 2014 and will finish in December 2016.
The figure below shows the structure of the project in terms of knowledge development. INE in cooperation with SUPSI (University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland) will address the research Topic B2.4 (Socio-economic aspects), part of the Capacity Area B2 (Integrated Assessment of Mobility). The output of this topic will be the identification Swiss trends and potential for transformation of mobility and recommendations to undertake this transformation.
