METENVIA thanks all collaborators for their great work in 2025 and looks forward to working together in 2026.
Some highlights from our group to look out for in 2026:
- Advance the development and use of the Pollution and Environmental Aviation Research Laboratory (PEARL).
- Establish research in electrochemical sensing of water vapour and and noxious cabin vapours.
- Continued work on jet soot interactions with exhaust plume species and secondary aerosol formation (Yiheng’s PhD).
- Field campaign within the ADVISAR project – on-wing emissions measurements on small turbofan engines, comparing SAFs blends and conventional fuel and targeting understanding the influence of ambient conditions on emissions and implications on health during the winter.
- Construction and commissioning of a turbine test bench for emission measurements.
- Continuing air quality monitoring across the 11 European cities participating in the Net4Cities project, providing the first full year of data.
- Investigating nocturnal cold-air streams in Winterthur.
