Can AI bridge Switzerland’s legal language gap?
In the Innosuisse-funded JuRAG project, ZHAW and Chiron Services explored how AI can improve multilingual legal search across Swiss Federal Supreme Court decisions in German, French and Italian. The project shows that meaning-based multilingual retrieval can help lawyers find relevant case law across language boundaries, while also revealing remaining performance gaps between languages.
