Was passiert mit unserem Smartphone, wenn es ausgedient hat? Woher kommt es, wenn wir es gebraucht kaufen? Diese Wissensl\u00fccken schliesst \u00abunTrash\u00bb \u2013 eine Projektidee aus dem diesj\u00e4hrigen Hack Winterthur.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An die 100 junge Menschen trafen sich im Oktober zum Hack Winterthur<\/a>, um ein ganzes Wochenende lang Gesch\u00e4ftsideen rund um nachhaltige Entwicklung zu entwerfen. Als Rahmen standen vier thematische Challenges zur Auswahl. In der Challenge zu Kreislaufwirtschaft fand sich auch ZHAW-Student Kevin Yar wieder. Zusammen mit drei weiteren Hack-Teilnehmern hat er das Projekt unTrash aufgesetzt. Die Idee: Eine Plattform macht den Lebenszyklus von Elektronikger\u00e4ten, insbesondere Smartphones, transparent, um deren Verwendungsdauer zu verl\u00e4ngern. Denn Transparenz schafft Vertrauen bei den Konsument:innen von Secondhand-Produkten.  \u00abWenn ich mir ein gebrauchtes Smartphone kaufen m\u00f6chte, kenne ich leider die Vorgeschichte nicht, beispielsweise, wann es in Betrieb genommen wurde und ob es ein Firmenger\u00e4t oder in privater Nutzung war\u00bb, erkl\u00e4rt Kevin Yar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nachhaltigkeitsscore bewertet jedes Modell<\/strong>
Ein unTrash-zertifiziertes Ger\u00e4t hat eine Historie zu bieten. Des Weiteren vereinfacht die Plattform dank Anleitungen, Kontakten und Tipps auch die Reparatur sowie das Recycling der Ger\u00e4te. Zudem sind statistische Informationen zur Lebenserwartung des jeweiligen Modells zu finden. Aus verschiedenen Faktoren wie der Reparierbarkeit, den verwendeten Materialien und dem verbrauchten CO2-Ausstoss bei der Produktion berechnet unTrash einen allgemeinen Nachhaltigkeitsscore \u2013 ein Wert, der je nach Hersteller und Modell ganz unterschiedlich aussehen kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nachhaltiger Kreislauf statt Entsorgung<\/strong>
Wer sein funktionst\u00fcchtiges Smartphone auf unTrash verkaufen will, registriert es \u00fcber die Seriennummer auf einer Website und gibt die notwendigen Informationen anonymisiert ein. \u00abVerkaufen kann eine Privatperson, aber wir sehen vor allem in Gesch\u00e4ftsger\u00e4ten einen grossen Markt\u00bb, so Kevin Yar. \u00abEin ganze Flotte von Firmensmartphones kann mit unTrash bequem verkauft und in einen nachhaltigen Kreislauf eingef\u00fchrt werden, anstatt sie zu entsorgen.\u00bb Auf der anderen Seite stehen die K\u00e4ufer:innen, die bei unTrash weniger Risiko eingehen als auf anderen Occasionsm\u00e4rkten. Gleichzeitig will unTrash auch den weiteren Kreislauf gew\u00e4hrleisten. Nicht mehr funktionst\u00fcchtige Ger\u00e4te werden schliesslich von unTrash in die Rezyklierung \u2013 idealerweise zum Hersteller \u2013 zur\u00fcckgef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aus Idee k\u00f6nnte ein Startup werden<\/strong>
Noch steht das Projekt unTrash ganz am Anfang. Aber wenn es nach Kevin Yar geht, wird es nicht bei einer blossen Idee bleiben. \u00abIm kommenden Jahr m\u00f6chten wir am Startup-Inkubationsprogramm von ZHAW sustainable<\/a> teilnehmen, um unsere Idee und nat\u00fcrlich auch den Business Case weiterzuentwickeln\u00bb, so der Student. Man darf also gespannt sein, wie es weitergeht mit dieser z\u00fcndenden Idee aus dem Hack Winterthur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
