Our Monday began with a visit to the Swiss Embassy in Singapore. We were welcomed into the official premises where we attended a presentation on the diplomatic and economic relations between Switzerland and Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speaker provided an overview of the historical development of bilateral ties, current areas of cooperation, and the strategic importance of Singapore as a hub in Southeast Asia. The session offered a structured and factual insight into the role of Swiss diplomacy in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the presentation we were shown around the embassy and had a lunch in the Swiss restaurant, where you could eat Swiss specialties as Fondue or \u201cZ\u00fcrigschnetzeltes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The afternoon was left open for individual exploration and rest. Some of us used the time to explore the city or catch up on personal tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evening, we gathered again at the residence complex of ZHAW alumnus Andreas Bittel, who had organized and led the panel discussion that followed. The session featured several alumni who live, study, or work in Singapore. They shared their experiences of relocating, adapting to the local culture, and navigating professional opportunities in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The setting was informal but structured, giving us concrete insights into career development abroad from the perspective of former students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day offered valuable insights into both institutional diplomacy and real-life career trajectories abroad. We would like to sincerely thank the Swiss Embassy, Andreas Bittel, and all participating alumni for their time, hospitality, and the informative discussions that made this day a meaningful part of our study trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
