So after a rich, but for the most of us rather short breakfast at the hotel, our bus driver fired up his engine to take us to what would be a very strange, yet interesting experience in many ways.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3998\" alt=\"WP_20140201_001\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_001-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The foundation\u2019s premises which are situated close to Bangalore\u2019s city limits are generously framed by it\u2019s large perimeter containing a diverse amount of plantations, trees and ponds. People from all over the world pilgrimage to this location in order to meditate and to find their peace of mind.<br \/>\nCorrespondingly irritating was the fact that we were welcomed by a traditionally dressed indian employee sporting two BlackBerry smartphones who seemed to be pretty busy hammering out messages at that time.<br \/>\nHowever, eventually we took the\u00a0 tour to the site\u2019s several spiritual monuments.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_004.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3999\" alt=\"WP_20140201_004\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_004-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After learning about the backgrounds of the \u201cArt of Living\u201d concept and their Guruji it was time for some lunch. The lunch turned out to be not everyone\u2019s idea of culinary excellence so the events at the organization\u2019s canteen have inflicted mixed feelings within the tour\u2019s participants.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_017.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4000\" alt=\"WP_20140201_017\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_017-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fully rested we approached the last part of this journey to our innermost thoughts.<br \/>\nOne of the most important men in the foundation\u2019s circles is a Swiss guy who patiently shared his comprehensive knowledge about meditation and also about his organization from a business perspective.<\/p>\n<p>It was indeed a very enlightening discussion with critical as well as curious questions about his way of life and his decision to dedicate his life and his passion to the \u201cArt of Living\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4001\" alt=\"WP_20140201_024\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_024-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Subsequently we had the honor to enjoy a short but strengthening meditative session which, as I\u2019m guessing, was a rather new experience for most of us.<br \/>\nTo finalize our journey we went on a little ride around the beautiful area where we were informed about the community\u2019s self-sustaining setup.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_026.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4002\" alt=\"WP_20140201_026\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/sml-international\/files\/2014\/02\/WP_20140201_026-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All in all it was a very pleasant day with many new impressions which was perfect to top with a few cold drinks at our Hotel\u2019s own poolside bar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first part of today\u2019s schedule was the trip to the \u201cSri Sri Ravi Shankar Guruji Ashram \u201c an international center for the \u201cArt of Living\u201d organization which was founded in 1981 by a spiritual leader of the same name.
