July 2012 &#8211; Busan company visits 2 &amp; Aquarium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At 7.30 a.m. a couple of students met our teacher to go to the <strong>fish market<\/strong> located on the coast of Busan. We reached the market by feet in less than 15 minutes. It was a covered market divided into several areas. We were impressed by the diversity of fishes available for sale and really enjoyed the salespersons friendliness.<\/p>\n<p>Our second day of company visits in Busan started at 9:15 a.m. Mr Jee (<em>General Manager at W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 Korea Ltd.<\/em>) and Miss Lee (<em>Assistant at W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 Korea Ltd.<\/em>) lead us as yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/?attachment_id=3179\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3179\" title=\"Oerlikon_Balzers_RGB\" src=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Oerlikon_Balzers_RGB-300x114.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"114\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our first visit took place at <strong>Oerlikon Balzers Coating<\/strong><em> <\/em><strong>Korea Co. Ltd<\/strong>. We were kindly welcomed by Mr Lim (<em>Center Manager)<\/em>, and then Mr Ryu (<em>Product Manager<\/em>) gave us a short overview of Oerlikon Balzers\u00b4activities. It is actually a subsidiary of Oerlikon Group and a market leader in PVD coating. Over the 87 Oerlikon Balzers centers around the world, 4 of them are located in South Korea. After the first Q&amp;A round and a short video describing some Oerlikon Balzers\u2019accomplishments, Mr. Lim, Mr. Ryu and Mr. Lee (<em>Internal Sales<\/em>) guided us throught the company. Afterwards, we got the opportunity to ask questions about the company.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/6-july-2012\/dsc04681\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3092\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3092\" title=\"DSC04681\" src=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/DSC04681-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/?attachment_id=3178\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3178\" title=\"Hyunjin Materials\" src=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Hyunjin-Materials.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"47\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Near the Oerlikon Balzers plant we had lunch in the restaurant Parc en Ciel before to continue our tour at <strong>Hyunjin Materials Co. Ltd<\/strong>. This company produces ships engine components and is one of the main suppliers of Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. To introduce this visit Mrs. Kurath (<em>Student at ZHAW, School of Management &amp; Law<\/em>) presented all the facts her student group collected about the company. Then we watched a short video about Hyunjin Materials\u2019activities and had a short explanation of the functioning of a ship engine. After this presentation, we had the opportunity to visit 2 of the 3 Hyunjin Materials\u2019plants located in Busan. To conclude this visit, a Q&amp;A round was held.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/6-july-2012\/553000010537512-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3097\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3097\" title=\"553000010537512\" src=\"http:\/\/ianus.zhaw.ch\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/5530000105375122.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Due to the bad weather, we went to Busan Aquarium. At 6 p.m. we enjoyed a typical Korean barbecue and after dinner we came back to the hotel. Today was our last day in Busan and tomorrow we will fly to Shanghai.
