Day 4 of our Study Trip began with a short walk from the hotel to SGInnovate – one of Singapore’s key institutions for driving deep tech innovation. At 10:00 AM, we were welcomed into a modern and dynamic space that immediately gave the impression of forward-thinking and collaboration.

The one-hour session offered us a fascinating look into how Singapore builds its innovation ecosystem. SGInnovate plays a central role by connecting startups, researchers, investors, and corporates – especially in areas like artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, agrifood, and sustainability. We learned how the organisation scouts cutting-edge technologies, supports market intelligence, and develops talent through specialised programs like “Summation” and “PowerX”. These initiatives don’t just train people – they actively place them into high-impact startups, with funding, mentoring, and global access.

After 11:00 AM, the afternoon was ours to enjoy. Some explored the city, while others reflected on what we had learned. The visit to SGInnovate gave us more than just facts – it showed us what’s possible when innovation becomes a national mission.
