A 5 hour long train ride brought us comfortably to Hiroshima where the sun was finally shining again. The first ever nuclear bombing that took place on August 6. 1945 in Hiroshima is being remember of by a museum and park that is located in the heart of the city where the main impact zone was. This very impressive and afflictive place documents the very happenings that took place back then and changed the way of forging war as well as the general understanding of the far reaching concequences related. It was a moving and important experience to see this place first hand. After 4 hours of strolling around the cityparks we took the 17.17 Shinkansen train to Kyoto where our first traditional Ryokan experience is going to take place for the next 3 days.
