Study Trip Shenzhen 2026 – Day

Visit to Huawei – An Impressive Start to Our Study Trip in Shenzhen

The Study Trip kicked off today with a major highlight: a full-day visit to the Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen. The program offered a rich mix of technological insights, product experiences, and a glimpse into Huawei’s global mindset and corporate culture.

We began the day with an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Cloud technologies at Huawei. The session explained what these technologies are and how they are applied in practice. Particularly interesting were the real-world use cases in construction, railway transportation, and airports, where AI is used, for example, to optimize time-slot allocation and improve operational efficiency.

This was followed by a general presentation about Huawei, focusing on the company’s background and its connections with Europe and Switzerland. Throughout the conference-style session, we were continuously served tea and coffee, accompanied by small plates with cookies and fruit, which created a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

Next, we enjoyed a guided tour of the Huawei Flagship Store. There, we had the opportunity to see the Aito and Maextro cars up close, sit inside them and they even took us on a ride with their self driving technology. The Maextro vehicles were especially surprising, with their extremely high-end and luxurious interior design. Afterward, we explored Huawei’s consumer products, including the latest smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, smart glasses, and TVs.

In the afternoon, we visited the impressive Huawei Campus, which is designed in the style of various European architectural themes. The campus is enormous and truly impressive. Switzerland is also represented, with a section inspired by Fribourg, although the reason for choosing this city could not be explained to us. A charming detail was the small train, reportedly from Switzerland, that runs through the entire campus. We also took a short tour by golf caddy before enjoying an afternoon tea with fruit, nuts, and coffee.

The day concluded with a visit to the library, which is architecturally inspired by the Paris City Hall. Both the exterior and interior were highly impressive, showcasing elegant and carefully designed architecture.

Our visit to Huawei was an excellent start to the study trip. The Huawei representatives who accompanied us throughout the day were extremely attentive, engaging, and friendly. It was a memorable and inspiring experience that set a very high standard for the rest of our time in Shenzhen.
