The ageing society will have an influence on the transport sector in Switzerland. The increasing share of seniors is expected to reduce the amount of commuters and at the same time the demand for transportation during rush hours. On the other hand the future seniors will be more mobile compared with the previous generations of elderly. Can the future transport demand be estimated based on population forecasts?<\/p>\n
