Modal choice is a crucial mobility pattern that indicates the sustainability in terms of transport.<\/p>\n<p>The highest car modal shares are reported in ages between 25-44 as well as 44-64 (both above 40%). In contrast, underage and senior citizens are more dependent of non-motorized modes (walking and cycling) as well as of public transport. The walking modal share of people over 65 years old reaches almost 50% and over 80 years old 60%.
