{"id":1384,"date":"2013-10-15T09:00:22","date_gmt":"2013-10-15T07:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/mobine\/?p=1384"},"modified":"2015-02-03T17:18:34","modified_gmt":"2015-02-03T16:18:34","slug":"history-and-future-relevance-of-state-borders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/mobine\/history-and-future-relevance-of-state-borders\/","title":{"rendered":"History and Future Relevance of State Borders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Merja Hoppe and Andreas Christ from the INE mobility team attended the <a title=\"T2M Conference information\" href=\"http:\/\/t2m.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">T2M conference<\/a> in Kouvola, Finland and in St. Petersburg, Russia on 25<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; 28<sup>th<\/sup> of September 2013 and presented their paper on &#8220;History and Future Relevance of State Borders: Mobility as a border crosser?&#8221; (see image below).<\/p>\n<p>Together with other partners they also presented results of the EU FP7 project RACE2050 in the panel &#8220;Chronological Borders: Can Historians Face the Future of Mobility?&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Mobility and transport industries are a subject to a continuous transformation process which alters their structures. Changing demand and need for transportation require a redesign of the classic transport systems.
