SCOPE AND OBJECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ongoing adoption of Cloud Computing has lead to an increase in the level
\nof complexity of the existing services and inherently higher risks for companies
\nwilling to migrate in order to benefit from this new paradigm. These risks could
\narise from deviations from the normal operation that could lead to a reduction or
\ninterruption of the QoS, service shortages, or incidents.<\/p>\n

Cloud Incident Management, as a novel research direction, is addressing specific
\nissues that are related to cloud services, bringing under the same umbrella
\nrelevant topics including cloud management automation, SLA and QoS management
\n(and specifically management of SLA incidents), Cloud forensics and targeting
\nthe resolution of deviations from normal operations.<\/p>\n

A major goal of this special issue is to explore the challenges and opportunities
\nthat exist in relation with hot topics in cloud incident management and cloud
\nforensics, in order to meet the needs of modern cloud applications, and to encourage
\nthe submission of ongoing work with already important theoretical and practical
\nresults, as well as position papers and case studies of existing verification
\nprojects to highlight the art in this domain.<\/p>\n

TOPICS OF INTEREST<\/strong><\/p>\n

This special issue calls for original papers describing the latest research and
\ninnovations, solutions and developments on Cloud Incident Management as well as
\nrelated topics like QoS and SLAs, Disaster Recovery, Cloud Standards etc.
\nThe following is a non-exhaustive list of topics in focus of this special issue:<\/p>\n

– Cloud incident management architectures, workflows and automated handling processes;
\n– Techniques and algorithms for cloud incident detection and classification;
\n– Intrusion and anomaly detection and prevention
\n– Root cause analysis in cloud computing;
\n– Engineering of self-healing cloud autonomic systems;
\n– Resilient service provisioning in cloud computing;
\n– Cloud forensic investigations, electronic discovery (eDiscovery);
\n– Audit, security, privacy, and compliance management for cloud computing;
\n– Cloud quality management and service level agreement (SLA);
\n– Disaster recovery in cloud computing;
\n– Critical infrastructure protection;
\n– Cloud configuration, performance, and capacity management;
\n– Novel fault-tolerance techniques and implementations of emerging software technologies;
\n– Incident management integration within the cloud service lifecycle
\n– Analysis of cloud anti-patterns for incident avoidance
\n– Standards, practices and processes for the handling of cloud incidents<\/p>\n

Authors should prepare their manuscript according to the Guide for Authors available

We will assign at least 3 reviewers to each paper, and select good papers only.<\/p>\n

Authors need to submit their articles through the Journal Submission System after
