Denn fortan w\u00fcrde ich nicht nur zwei Teilzeitjobs haben, sondern auch der Abschluss meiner Masterarbeit stand noch an. Als ich mit einem Kollegen dar\u00fcber sprach, meinte dieser nur: \u201eDie ZHAW ist ja ein \u00f6ffentlicher Betrieb, so streng wird\u2019s da ja wohl nicht werden\u201c. Wirklich nicht?<\/p>\n<p>Inzwischen sind seit meinem Stellenantritt beim IAM ziemlich genau 100 Tage vergangen. Wie man von den US-Pr\u00e4sidenten weiss, ist dies ein guter Zeitpunkt, um ein erstes Mal zur\u00fcckzublicken und Bilanz zu ziehen. Was habe ich in meinen ersten 100 Tagen gemacht, gelernt und geleistet? Was hat mir gefallen und was weniger? Und vor allem, wie sah es mit meiner Work-Life-Balance aus? Zeit, mich den entscheidenden Fragen zu stellen.<\/p>\n<p>Meine ersten 100 Tage am IAM waren vor allem gepr\u00e4gt von den Events, die in dieser Zeit stattfanden: Diplomfeier des Bachelorstudiengangs Kommunikation, JournalismusTag.16, Hallo SRF!, Tag der offenen T\u00fcr. Im Rahmen dieser Events habe ich Caterings organisiert, Sicherheitskonzepte diskutiert, Blumen bestellt, B\u00fchnen eingerichtet, Talk-G\u00e4ste verkabelt, Fotografen instruiert, Mikrofone eingepegelt, Snapchat-Reportagen gemacht und vieles mehr. Gl\u00fccklicherweise konnte ich bei all dem auf die Unterst\u00fctzung eines erfahrenen Teams z\u00e4hlen. Wenn wir uns nach einem Event sp\u00e4tabends im Teamraum versammelten, eine der \u00fcbrig gebliebenen Flaschen \u00f6ffneten und miteinander auf den gelungenen Tag anstiessen, hatte sich die wochenlange Vorbereitung gelohnt.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1874\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1874\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/iam\/files\/2017\/02\/Chris-Onuoha.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1874 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/iam\/files\/2017\/02\/Chris-Onuoha-200x300.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/iam\/files\/2017\/02\/Chris-Onuoha-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/blog.zhaw.ch\/iam\/files\/2017\/02\/Chris-Onuoha.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1874\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chris Onuoha organisiert die Events am IAM.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nat\u00fcrlich waren unter meinen ersten 100 Tagen auch ruhigere dabei, aber ganz ehrlich, sie waren selten. Wenn ich nicht gerade dabei war, ein Kurzvideo f\u00fcr den Tag der offenen T\u00fcr zu drehen, arbeitete ich neue Marketingmassnahmen f\u00fcr die Weiterbildung aus, und sobald dies abgeschlossen war, musste ich auch schon los, um die IAM-Studieng\u00e4nge bei einer Berufsbildungsmesse vorzustellen. \u00dcber mangelnde Abwechslung konnte ich mich also nicht beklagen. Besonders gefiel mir, dass am IAM der Weg von der Idee zur Umsetzung oft sehr kurz ist, das heisst, wer eine Idee hat, darf diese meist auch gleich selbst umsetzen. Allerdings kann sich die Umsetzung dann manchmal auch etwas l\u00e4nger hinziehen, wenn zuerst die Zustimmung des Instituts, des Departements und wom\u00f6glich sogar der Hochschulleitung eingeholt werden muss.<\/p>\n<p>Fazit: Der Job am IAM hat mich in den ersten 100 Tagen gefordert. Ich konnte so ziemlich jede F\u00e4higkeit einbringen, die ich besitze \u2013 von Schreiben, \u00fcber Auftreten bis hin zu Verhandeln. Die Prognose meines Kollegen hat sich somit nicht bewahrheitet, denn so viel Action habe ich in den ersten 100 Tagen wohl noch nie gehabt. Aber wie sah es jetzt mit meiner Work-Life-Balance aus? Die Tage am IAM waren lang, das Tempo hoch und so ganz nebenbei schloss ich ja auch noch meinen Master ab und ging meinem anderen Job nach. So viel zum Thema Work-Life-Balance. Von dem her gesehen d\u00fcrfte es in meinen n\u00e4chsten 100 Tagen am IAM auch gerne etwas ruhiger werden.
