Die Arbeit des Instituts ist beeindruckend. \u00dcber 350 WissenschaftlerInnen werten Informationen aus der ganzen Welt aus. Ihr wichtigstes Produkt ist das Projekt Global Burden of Disease. Diese umfassende epidemiologische Studie liefert eine detaillierte Beschreibung der Todesursachen, Krankheiten und Risikofaktoren (<a href=\"http:\/\/thelancet.com\/gbd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/thelancet.com\/gbd<\/a>). Ein Blick in die interaktiven Visualisierungen der Resultate \u2013 auch f\u00fcr die Schweiz \u2013 lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! W\u00e4hrend meiner Zeit am Institut habe ich vor allem an einem Vergleich der amerikanischen mit den schweizerischen Gesundheitsausgaben gearbeitet.
