Choosing Wisely (Kanada und USA) versus Smarter Medicine (Schweiz)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zhaw.ch\/de\/ueber-uns\/person\/meiu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Flurina Meier<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ein Highlight des diesj\u00e4hrigen \u00abInternational Forum for Quality and Safety in Healthcare\u00bb war die Pr\u00e4sentation von Dr. med. Wendy Levinson, Chair von Choosing Wisely Kanada. Choosing Wisely ist eine Initiative aus den USA, welche versucht, \u00fcberfl\u00fcssige und m\u00f6glicherweise sogar sch\u00e4dliche Behandlungen im Gesundheitswesen zu vermeiden oder zumindest zu verringern. Erreicht wird dieses Ziel mit bottom-up erstellten Listen von unn\u00f6tigen oder gar sch\u00e4dlichen Behandlungen, welche zuk\u00fcnftig vermieden werden sollen. Die Listen sind absichtlich kurz gehalten &#8211; sie beinhalten meist ca. 5 Empfehlungen &#8211; und die Empfehlungen sind einfach und evidenzbasiert. Erstellt werden die Listen von medizinischen Fachgesellschaften oder Fachgesellschaften anderer Berufsgruppen aus dem Gesundheitswesen. In der Schweiz kennt man diese Bewegung auch unter dem Namen Smarter Medicine.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mittlerweile ist Choosing Wisely in 21 L\u00e4ndern gestartet. Nicht in allen L\u00e4ndern hat die Bewegung bereits so viel Geschwindigkeit aufgenommen, wie in Kanada und den USA. Ein Direktvergleich in Zahlen zeigt, dass die Schweiz noch einen weiten Weg vor sich hat:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bis 2012 hat die USA 500 Empfehlungen zur Vermeidung von \u00fcberfl\u00fcssigen Behandlungen von 80 \u00e4rztlichen Fachgesellschaften publiziert.<\/li>\n<li>Bis 2014 hat Kanada 300 Empfehlungen zur Vermeidung von \u00fcberfl\u00fcssigen Behandlungen von 70 \u00e4rztlichen Fachgesellschaften und Fachgesellschaften anderer Berufsgruppen aus dem Gesundheitswesen publiziert.<\/li>\n<li>Bis heute hat die Schweiz unter der Schirmherrschaft von Smarter Medicine 39 Empfehlungen zur Vermeidung von \u00fcberfl\u00fcssigen Behandlungen von 6 \u00e4rztlichen Fachgesellschaften publiziert. (Quelle: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smartermedicine.ch\/de\/infos-fuer-fachpersonen.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.smartermedicine.ch\/de\/infos-fuer-fachpersonen.html<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Erste Auswertungen zeigen, dass die Listen in Kanada bereits erste Fr\u00fcchte tragen und die \u00fcberfl\u00fcssigen Behandlungen \u2013 etwa die Anzahl unn\u00f6tiger Bluttransfusionen, oder die Anzahl verschriebener Benzodiazepine bei Seniorinnen und Senioren \u2013 in der Praxis tats\u00e4chlich abgenommen haben. Man w\u00fcnschte sich, dass auch die Schweiz bei dieser Bewegung vorne mit dabei ist, f\u00fcr unsere Gesundheit und unsere Sozialwerke.
