Call:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The AAL Association (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aal-europe.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.aal-europe.eu\/<\/a>) has pre-announced the 4th call for proposals of the AAL Joint Programme. The call aims at ICT based solutions which help older persons to sustain their optimal level of mobility for as long as possible, enhancing their individual sense of confidence, autonomy, competence, security and safety. The call addresses issues that inherently enable older persons\u2019 mobility in the sense of moving in the home and\/or outside the home.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Call title: <strong>\u201cICT Based Solutions for Advancement of Older Persons\u2019 Mobility\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Focus areas:<\/p>\n<p>1. Orientation and navigation (may include aspects of physical and cognitive training)<\/p>\n<p>2. Assistive technology<\/p>\n<p>The call is expected to be launched on 31 March 2011 and will then be open for three months. The online application procedure is organized centrally by the AAL Association. Swiss organisations interested in participating are recommended to contact our national AAL Office (see contact details below).<\/p>\n<p>A European \u201cInfo Day\u201d is planned to take place in Brussels on 7 April 2011. If you wish to register for this event, please contact <a href=\"mailto:Jacqueline.Teller@aal-europe.eu\" target=\"_blank\">Jacqueline.Teller@aal-europe.eu<\/a> by 24th March 2011.
