These committees provide the Commission with high quality and independent risk assessment and scientific advice in the areas of public health, consumer safety and environmental risks.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Scientists may apply for membership in one or more of the following committees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS)<\/li>\n<li>Scientific Committee on Health, Environmental and Emerging Risks (SCHEER)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The deadline for applications is 2 November 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants are expected to be well-established scientists with more than 10 years of professional experience and multi-disciplinary accomplishments.
