On 1 October, ZHAW will take centre stage as Presenting Academic Partner at the AI+X Summit in Oerlikon. Researchers from four departments will bring their expertise to the main stage, various tracks and a workshop, while also showcasing ZHAW’s work at the ZHAW stand.
The AI+X Summit is the flagship event of the Zurich AI Festival and brings together researchers, industry, start-ups and policymakers. This year’s event, organised under the theme ‘Exploring AI and Deep Tech Innovations for the Next Generation’, is being jointly organised by the ETH AI Centre, ZHAW and UZH.ai. A total of around 2,000 participants are expected to attend.
ZHAW brings research and expertise to the AI+X Summit
On the main stage, the focus is on ‚Physical AI: Bringing Value in a Human-Centric World‘, with contributions from the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management, the School of Engineering, and the School of Management and Law. There will also be tracks on ‚AI in Financial Services & Beyond‘ (School of Management and Law) and ‚AI, Psychology and Ethics‘ (Applied Psychology and School of Engineering). The workshop ‚AI in Critical Infrastructure: From Applied Research to Industrial Translation‘, the School of Engineering will demonstrate how applied research can lead to industrial solutions.
Robot bar and Public Night at the stand
During the day, visitors to the ZHAW stand can experience the digital robot bar, the humanoid robot KAI and the LINA project (in collaboration with UZH). These will also be open to the interested public as part of the Public Night.
